Busy outdoor week

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all doing well and had a fun 4 day week! We have had a lot fun outdoors lately and a lot going on so here is a bit about what we've been doing.

A week and a half ago, Debbie and Abby found a park near Redmond that they loved. They had so much fun that they spent four and a half hours there! By the end, Abby was sandy, happy, and exhausted. On the way back, there was nothing Debbie could do to prevent her from napping in the back seat.

We have enrolled Abby in preschool this year for just 2 hours, 2 days a week. She has been super excited for it and on her first day, she was pumped and ready to go. She put on her backpack and didn't look back!

Here is a video just before she headed off:

On Saturday, we wanted to make the most of a beautiful day so we headed to a beach we had never been to about 20 minutes north. Like many northwest beaches, there wasn't a ton of sand, mostly rocks, but we had a good picnic and then eventually found a stream that Abby and Greg's cousin's kids all enjoyed.

Here is a picture of Abby and Greg waiting for friends to arrive and trying to stay out of the sun.

Here's a picture of Picnic Point, the beach we went to. You can see her in the middle of the picture, way out there. Sorry for the poor picture, we only had the camera on my phone.

Here's Abby playing near the stream we found. As always, she loved scooping up dirt and rocks and didn't mind the freezing water.

Saturday night we topped off a great day with grilled pizza and breadsticks. This is the second time we've grilled pizza and it turned out a lot better this time. This was actually the first time we used fresh mozzarella cheese on a pizza and it really added a lot. It was a great way to end a fun and sunny Saturday.

In the photo of Abby by the door, ready for school, she looks SOOOO grown up! I hope she's enjoying it. Great photos and video.
