Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi everybody! We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Ours was very good. Gregs siblings and Mom flew in for Thanksgiving and the weekend and we had a lot of fun. Abby loved having them here as well and has been in withdrawal (read: acting terribly) since they left. Here are some of the fun things we did with them while they were here:

Grandma went to preschool with Abby. Here is Abby reading at preschool.

Here is Abby at circle time at preschool.

Here is our Thanksgiving dinner. There were some classics (awesome slow-cooked turkey, potatoes, stuffing), some additions (pineapple?) and some exceptions (no cranberries!) and it was all great.

Abby has been super excited about Christmas and every day mentions "I love Christmas". She likes looking at the "toys" (ornaments) on the tree and so far hasn't broken into any packages. We don't quite know how to tell her that Christmas is still a month away.

We did some shopping on the weekend. Here is what Abby picked out to get at a toy store. Sadly for her, we didn't get most of it but she sure loved playing dress-ups.

Abby continues to have a ton of energy and personality. She has had a couple of "accidents" lately and when Debbie told her she needed to listen to her body Abby looked at her with a funny look and told her "My body can't talk mommy, it doesn't have a face!". Silly Mom.

Wow, I got a real laugh out loud from that last bit about Abby's body not having a face. You know, she's got a point...

And I still say you should make a paper chain so Abby can rip off one every day until Christmas.

Yep, Abby has a point. And some people who DO have faces still shouldn't talk. The Thanksgiving feast looks great. Mine was a little different.
